Astrid C. Werner, MD is a board certified Ophthalmologist who specializes in adult and adolescent glaucoma care, the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and cataract surgery.
Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Werner graduated from Princeton University and went on to earn her MD from Tufts University School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Society. She completed an ophthalmology residency at the New England Eye Center, Tufts Medical Center followed by a Glaucoma Fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Werner also practices at the New England Eye Center affiliated with Tufts Medical Center in Boston, where she is a member of the Cataract and Glaucoma Service and Director of the Comprehensive Ophthalmology Service. She holds an academic appointment of Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Werner also practices at the New England Eye Center in Wellesley, where she serves as Medical Director.
