Jarod Santoro, MD is an eye physician and surgeon specializing in diseases of the retina and vitreous, cataract surgery, as well as comprehensive ophthalmology. He specializes in treating age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular diseases, and inherited retinal degenerations.
Dr. Santoro was born and raised in Providence Rhode Island. He graduated Cum Laude from Tulane University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Neuroscience. He subsequently graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine and was selected to the AOA medical honor society. He completed his internship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City and completed his Ophthalmology Residency as well as a Medical Retina Fellowship at the New England Eye Center (NEEC) at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
